Search, feedback and appearance

These controls are available on every application page under /app.

The Search field in the application header searches the selected organization. Press ⌘K on Apple devices or Ctrl K elsewhere to focus it; the shortcut is shown in the field while it is empty on wide screens. The shortcut is ignored while a menu or dialog has focus. On narrow screens, Open search shows the field and Close search hides it.

Results appear as you type, after a short pause, grouped in up to three sections with at most 8 results each:

Section Matches Opens
Repositories Repository full name The repository details page
Findings / CVEs CVE, advisory identifier, aliases, package name or summary of a finding Findings, filtered on that identifier
Packages Package name or version Inventory, filtered on that package

Matching ignores case. Archived repositories are excluded. Repositories are ordered by their open critical, then high findings; findings by risk score. A result attached to an application source opens that source’s view instead.

Searching… shows while results load. No results for “…” means nothing matched. Search failed shows the error with a Retry button. Press Escape or click outside to close the results. Switching organization clears them.

Feedback at the bottom of the sidebar, or in the mobile menu, opens Send feedback. It appears only for a signed-in, verified session.

  1. Choose a Category: Bug, Idea or Other. Bug is selected by default.
  2. Write a Message of 10 to 4,000 characters, counted after leading and trailing spaces are removed.
  3. Select Send feedback.

The feedback email sent to the feedback inbox carries, with your message and category:

  • your account email and user ID;
  • the organization name, ID and plan;
  • the application page path you were on;
  • the submission timestamp;
  • your browser’s User-Agent, truncated to 300 characters;
  • technical diagnostics about the service.
Notification Meaning
Feedback sent The feedback was stored and delivered.
Feedback stored (not delivered) The feedback was saved but could not be emailed. Contact support with delivery_failed.
Feedback was not saved Nothing was stored. Try again in a moment. The dialog stays open.
Feedback is unavailable right now No feedback inbox is configured. Contact support with no_feedback_inbox. The dialog stays open.

Open the account menu in the header. Under Appearance, choose Dark or Light. Dark is the default. The choice is remembered in this browser.

When a member or administrator first opens Applications in a session and the organization has no application, the application creation flow opens automatically. To reopen it later, go to Settings > Workspace and select Show getting started; Application setup opened confirms it. A viewer also sees Application setup opened, but no creation flow opens, because viewers cannot create applications. See Manage applications.
